    Default solar water heating

Here is a picture of my solar collector for my solar water heating system. It workes verry good. I only have to turn the electric power on to it a few days a year. When this happens it is in the winter time and after several days of cold temp. of 42 for the high and it has been overcast for 3 days or more. This dosent happen very often in Jacksonville, Florida. It has a 80 gallon water tank ant IO have the theromostat set at 165 degres. I love this system.

It is so, I live in florida and most of the time I get plenty of hot water. But like you say when the days are shorter and there is less sun like it it cloudy and very cold (40ish) for three days in a row I might have to torn on the electric to the electric heating element. This usually happens maybee twice a year for me. I love my solar water heater. I have had it for 3 or 4 years now.
